What's in Your HUD with PokerStars Team Online: Part 2

PokerSoftware:  What are the most important stats in your HUD?

Grzegorz "DaWarsaw" Mikielewicz:  The most important stats to me are open by position and 3bets from given position.

Jorge "Baalim" Limon:  Pre-flop stats are the most relevant to me due to an easier GTO approach and bigger sample sizes.

Mikhail "innerpsy" Shalamov:  The stats I mostly use are fold to steal, fold to 3bet, and 3bet from positions.

Felix "xflixx" Schneiders:  The most important stats in my HUD are VPIP, PFR, 3-Bet, and Fold Blinds to Steal.

Andre Brito "acoimbra" Coimbra:  For hyper-turbo sit-n-gos, the steal and raise per position along with the calling BBvsSB stats are the most important to me. For tournaments, I find the VPIP, PFR, and 3bet stats more useful.

Katerina "Katerina289" Malasidou:  I feel all of them are equally important, but the stats I check most often are the steal % from the SB and Button.

Naoya "nkeyno" Kihara:  The basic stats of VPIP, PFR, and 3-bet are the most important stats to me.

Celeste "LadyMaCe86" Orona:  I use all the stats in my HUD all of the time, but the steal an re-steal ones are particularly important for my game.

Adrienne "talonchick" Rowsome:  The most important stats to me are VPIP, PFR, and 3-Bet.

Luka "LukaSteel" Kovac:  I think the most important stats come from popups, but if I had to choose something on HUD alone, I'd say VPIP, PFR, 3-Bet, and WTS.

Randy "Nanonoko" Lew:  I feel VPIP and PFR stats are important to be able to quickly figure out if someone is playing tight or loose ranges pre-flop. Knowing this, I can make educated assumptions of their tendencies and adjust accordingly.

PokerSoftware: What stats do you or others misuse?

Grzegorz "DaWarsaw" Mikielewicz:  Mostly I feel people don't properly use the pre-flop raise stat.

Jorge "Baalim" Limon:  I feel players making decisions on a lack of a significant sample size is a leak.  Poker players often use turn and river stats without realizing the total hand sample needed is huge for these stats to be reliable.

Felix "xflixx" Schneiders:  CBet, Fold to Cbet, or specific post-flop stats in general are stats I feel players typically misuse.  People do not look at post-flop stats in relation to pre-flop and post-flop hand ranges enough to make a valid assumption about an action.

Naoya "nkeyno" Kihara:  Any stats with a small amount of data in them. A HUD will show 2/6 and 200/600 as the same number even though it represents a really big difference in the reliability of that statistic.

Celeste "LadyMaCe86" Orona:  The aggression stats (AF, Agg Freq, WWSF) are often misinterpreted by beginners who don't understand they should be analyzed in conjunction with other stats.

Luka "LukaSteel" Kovac:  I feel many players misuse opening ranges pre-flop and colored ranges.

Randy "Nanonoko" Lew:  I feel people misuse the VPIP and PFR stats. I think that when people see someone plays a lot of hands pre-flop, they automatically assume they are aggressive and bluffing a lot post-flop. This is a big assumption that can easily be false.

PokerSoftware:  How do you use your poker tracking database for study purposes?

Grzegorz "DaWarsaw" Mikielewicz:  I use my HM2 database by checking if my stats are as "unexploitable" as possible.

Jorge "Baalim" Limon:  My database helps me review hands and stats every weekend.

Mikhail "innerpsy" Shalamov:  I mark hands for review and examine them later in Flopzilla.

Felix "xflixx" Schneiders:  I review my sessions each day and constantly use filters to browse for improvement and find leaks in my database.

Andre Brito "acoimbra" Coimbra:  I filter for the kind of situations where I feel I'm making a mistake or I'm not sure how my opponents are playing and try to construct ranges from there. Then, I use calculators to figure out how I should play in those spots in the future.

Katerina "Katerina289" Malasidou:  I mark hands while playing to review later. I also study how specific opponents play based on the hands I have on them.

Naoya "nkeyno" Kihara:  When I was mainly playing cash games, I checked which hands I typically win with and which hands I typically lose with.  For example, I was losing with AQ and AJ. Of course both should be big winners.  So I looked back all of my AQ and AJ hands and changed my play.

Celeste "LadyMaCe86" Orona:  I use filters to analyze how I am playing in different situations depending on my actions, the value of my hand, or the texture of the board. Then, I take a sample of 20 to 30 hands and use Flopzilla and PokerStove to find any leaks.

Adrienne "talonchick" Rowsome:  I use PokerTracker to go over hands on occasion.  The software features a nice clean hand replayer and I like that it also shows me the equities in the hands I am reviewing.

Luka "LukaSteel" Kovac:  It helps me with studying by just browsing hands played by myself and other good players where the hand is seen at showdown. I also use Hold'em Manager to compare stats.

George "Jorj95" Lind:  I used to use poker tracking software fairly often, but I don't think I've even imported my hands in two years.

Randy "Nanonoko" Lew:  I use PokerTracker 4 to review big hands I won and lost in a session to see if I played well or if there is something I could improve on for those spots.
