We sat down with Leo "kidcardfish" Zamarripa to get his perspective on poker software.  Read on to learn about his experiences with some of the most popular pieces of poker software out there!

PokerSoftware:  What poker software do you use now or in the past while playing online poker or for studying the game?

Leo Zamparrpa:  I recently started using different poker software.  When I first started playing poker, I was a live player, so only four weeks ago I began using PokerTracker 4, ICMIZER, and Flopzilla.

PokerSoftware:  What's it like to first start using PokerTracker 4?  Was it easy for you to set up and use?

Leo Zamarripa:  Thankfully, I did not experience any difficulties when first using PokerTracker 4. The software is pretty self-explanatory since the "help" button explains everything I needed to know.

PokerSoftware:  How helpful is the HUD to your game?  Has it changed the way you approach the game?

Leo Zamarripa:  The HUD is definitely beneficial to my game.  I consider myself to be pretty crazy on the felts, but now I feel I get to control my chaos.  I'm still super aggressive, but the HUD enables me to identify the players to avoid and the players I should relentlessly attack.

PokerSoftware:  Have you used PokerTracker 4 as a tool for your own personal review?

Leo Zamarripa:  Yes, I have personally obtained a poker coach, Ben Reasons.  Ben is unreal as a coach and his sessions are the best money I have ever invested.  Our coaching sessions opened my eyes on how to review using PokerTracker 4 as a tool.  Also during our coaching sessions, we went through the usual hand history review; however, we took it even further and broke it down into hands I have played from different positions.  I recently discovered that I was bleeding money by playing pots out of the small blind.  It was mind blowing to see how some analysis in my game using PokerTracker 4 has helped me plug a major leak in my game.

PokerSoftware:  What PokerTracker 4 stats do you find to be most helpful to you and why?

Leo Zamarripa:  Honestly, I wouldn’t say there is one particular stat that stands out for me.  I find myself using all of the stats in my HUD constantly throughout an online poker tournament depending on the situation.

PokerSoftware:  What is ICMIZER, why did you begin using it, and how does it help you?

Leo Zamarripa:  I actually had no clue what ICMIZER was until I met Ben.  ICMIZER is a program that lets you break down shoving ranges.  For example, the software allows you to determine if a shove is profitable blind-versus-blind or vice-versa, and what calling range you need versus a 13 big blind stack shove from the button.

PokerSoftware:  Have you seen any improvements in your game from using this software as review tool?

Leo Zamarripa:  Hands down, ICMIZER has drastically improved my poker game, specifically for turbo tournaments and short-stack play.

PokerSoftware:  What do you using Flopzilla for and how does it differ from ICMIZER?

Leo Zamarripa:  Flopzilla is the program I use the least because when I play multiple tables, it is hard to use.  However, when I'm at a final table, I'll pull it up.  Flopzilla breaks down possible hole cards for your opponent based on the flop and what you are holding.
