Which Indicator Software is Right for You?

Many of you are already familiar with Holdem Indicator and how the software helps online poker players around the world through its in-game odds calculator and informative, yet simple HUD.

What you may not know is that the same group that developed this software also developed many other products including Omaha Indicator, Tournament Indicator, Stud Indicator, iHoldem Indicator, and iOmaha Indicator.  With so many different options to choose from, it may seem difficult to know which is best for you.  However, we are about to show you how easy it is to figure out which one you should try out.

If you play online poker on a computer with a Windows operating system, you choices are narrowed down to Holdem Indicator, Omaha Indicator, Stud Indicator, and Tournament Indicator.

If you play the most popular form of poker, Texas Hold'em, on your Windows operating system, you will need to choose between Holdem Indicator and Tournament Indicator.  The first option is for those of you who play ring games, while the second is for tournament players and includes specific features such as "M" that are designed to give you a helping hand in tournaments.

As you may have guessed, Omaha Indicator is designed for those of you who wish to play Omaha.  Since the odds and outs are far different with four hole cards rather than the two you receive in Texas Hold'em, it is important to have software specifically designed to tell you where you stand along with information on your opponents.

Stud Indicator is my personal favorite software out of the group and maybe my favorite poker software overall.  I grew up playing Stud with friends and later on at the local casino and never realized how off I was when moving on to other Stud-related games such as Razz and Stud H/L.

The software is fully compatible with all three of these Stud games and, as far as I know, is the only in-game software that is compatible with these games.  This means if your opponents are not using Stud Indicator, they are likely playing in the dark, giving you an advantage on the felts.

Last but not least, there are two software packages available if you play online poker using the OSX operating system: iHoldem Indicator and iOmaha Indicator.  The Hold'em version of this software is actually better for the Mac than for the PC since it combines the best features of Holdem Indicator and Tournament Indicator and delivers tHEM in one piece of software.  This shouldn't go unnoticed since it isn't very often in the world of poker software that there are better options available for the Mac than for the PC.

iOmaha Indicator works very similarly to Omaha Indicator, with the only major difference being that it's compatible with the Mac.

Now that you know which Indicator software is right for you, why not give them a try and see how their powerful in-game poker odds calculator and HUD can improve your abilities?  You can check out all of our detailed reviews and watch a video on each of these programs by heading to the "Recommended" tab on the top of the screen and clicking on the software you are most interested in.
