Calculatem Pro Releases May Software Update

Recently rolled out by the developers at Calculatem Pro was Version 5.3.22, which was unleashed to the world just a few days ago. There were a bevy of fixes and upgrades in the new version, which is compatible on not one, not two, not three, but over 250 online poker rooms. If you’re looking for software that works on Bodog, Cake Poker, and the largest sites in the world, Calculatem Pro has you covered. A variety of bugs were fixed for Bodog and Pacific Poker. The former accepts players from the United States, whereas the publicly traded company 888, which you can find on the London Stock Exchange, owns the latter. Many publicly traded firms do not allow USA sign-ups and Pacific Poker is no exception. Users of Windows XP will experience fixes if they are hitting the virtual felts of Paddy Power, Carbon Poker, Cake Poker, Bodog, and PokerStars. Other XP fixes affect Full Tilt Poker and Ultimate Bet, meaning that running these popular sites using the Vista predecessor should be a breeze. Developers of Calculatem Pro also fixed issues with skins on PartyPoker, the fourth largest online poker site and the second largest not to accept USA players behind the massive iPoker Network.

Fixes to Bodog’s short-handed and full ring games were implemented, as was a patch for problems that Vista users of Cake Poker experienced. Support was added for Everest Poker, which is the official on-felt sponsor of the ongoing 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. The tournament series’ Main Event kicks off on July 3rd with the first of four starting days and will crown a champion on November 10th after a 100 day delay to coincide with its television broadcast. Other fixes implemented at Calculatem Pro included card reading on Absolute Poker and table resizing issues on Vista machines.

We asked our very own Chris “Fox” Wallace to tell us what separates Calculatem Pro from other poker odds calculators like it in the industry. He explained, “You can set your own style of play and hand rank preferences, so you can tell it that you only want to play a certain percentage. That way, you can match Calculatem Pro to stats you have in Holdem Manager and PokerTracker. The ability to set those preferences is what separates this popular calculator from the rest of the pack.”

Calculatem Pro supports a ridiculous 250 rooms and is one of the few programs that work on Bodog and Cake Poker. On the latter site, players can actually change their screen names once every seven days, reeking havoc for poker database programs and other pieces of software. Most sites on the iPoker Network, Ongame Network, Microgaming Network, International Poker Network (Boss Media), Cake Poker Network, Entraction Network, and Merge Gaming Network are covered.

As a special note for Vista users, the program’s creators note, “Some of Windows Vista's enhanced security features can interfere with Calculatem Pro's ability to read the screen at some poker rooms. Please make sure to run the application as administrator and disable the UAC (User Account Control) in Vista.” The program calculates hand odds, pot odds, and can adjust based on your own style of play.

I’ve personally used this program and, for the most part, have found it to be helpful. My only complaint involved programs like AOL Instant Messenger popping up, which caused Calculatem Pro to be interrupted.
