Full Tilt Poker Introduces Hand Replayer
For those Full Tilt Poker members who have been clamoring for a Hand Replayer to be added, your wish has finally come true. This week, the world’s second largest online poker site announced that a fully-functional Hand Replayer is now an integral part of the room’s software, leading to a much-improved game experience and the ability to review critical pots quickly and easily. The site that encourages you to “Play with the Pros” also rolled out new game software and introduced Mixed Limit tables.
To access the brand new Hand Replayer, simply click on “Last Hand” in the upper left-hand corner of a Full Tilt table window. It’s right below the tab for “Get Chips” and above the link to “Stand Up.” A video-like screen that any astute online poker player is familiar with will appear, complete with easy-to-understand forward, play, and rewind icons. Full Tilt candidly explains, “Reviewing your hands is one of the best ways to improve as a player.” Each hand at your current table is accessible. To move between them, just click on the arrows in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. By clicking on a hand number, the traditional text history will appear.
Expanding the console within the Hand Replayer will show every table you’ve played in during your current session. To make things even easier, tables are split into ring games and tournaments. Clicking on any table will allow you to review hands while you were seated. It will also bring up a list of hands in the console. Hands you won are highlighted in green. Hands you didn’t see all of the action in are highlighted in red. Hands you observed are highlighted in blue and all other hands are not shaded any color. Here's a sneak preview:
Full Tilt’s new software update utilizes fewer computer resources, meaning it will likely not bog down your system if you have multiple programs open. The site notes, “Combined with our continued network communication improvements, which ensure that the game and your computer communicate more efficiently, the Full Tilt Poker game software is now sharper and faster than ever before.” Full Tilt also touts that it has introduced “crisper graphics” as part of the rollout. My sluggish 10 year-old computer ran the beta version of a recent upgrade without a hitch.
Finally, Full Tilt Poker players can revel in Mixed Limit Games. There are brand new Seven Game Mixed tables that feature Limit Hold‘em, Limit Stud High-Low, Limit Razz, Limit Omaha High-Low, Limit Stud, No Limit Hold‘em, and Pot Limit Omaha. The Eight Game Mix found on a site like PokerStars also includes Limit 2-7 Triple Draw, which can be difficult to learn as one of poker’s only draw games.
The online poker site also introduced Mixed Hold’em tables, which feature a combination of Limit and No Limit Hold’em, and Mixed Omaha High-Low tables, which feature a combination of Limit and Pot Limit Omaha High-Low. These can be found in the Hold’em and Omaha lobbies on Full Tilt, respectively, and are sure to be a hit for those looking to find a diversion from the No Limit Hold’em grind.
The April update on Full Tilt Poker featured ante games, ring game icons, and network communication improvements. Perhaps the most notable addition was synchronized breaks in multi-table tournaments, which take place at 55 past every hour. Breaking all tournaments at the same time allows players to get up from their computers and take a five minute respite from poker. However, other online poker sites have not yet followed suit.
