People who play online poker seriously are probably already extremely familiar with what poker tournaments run on a daily basis. Some players even have the tournament schedules memorized by start time, buy-in, structure, and online poker site. The serious players who know the tournament schedules by heart, or are at least very familiar with them, are the same players that most of the software we feature is geared toward.
The recreational player is probably not going to bother with AutoHotKey (AHK) scripts, tracking and analysis software, Heads-Up Displays (HUDs), and the like, but might download a simple iPhone app to help with their game. Recreational players usually play when their schedules allow. Thanks to a great new iPhone app, we have a tool that benefits low-volume players, but provides benefits to the high-volume regulars as well.
The new iPhone app is simply called Tourneys. Its only job is to search online poker lobbies and show you what tournaments are coming up, the buy-ins, prize pools, field size, and many other details. If you are curious if a tournament is going to surpass the guarantee amount, you can quickly see this information as well. Currently, Full Tilt Poker and Bodog are supported, but the CEREUS Network, PokerStars, and PartyPoker will be included soon. The program lets you filter your search results by site or you can show results across all sites:
Tourneys benefits those players who are not familiar with all of the poker tournament schedules across multiple sites, but want to get into the best games when they are able to play. This program saves a lot of time by eliminating manual searches through the lobby of each site to find a tournament you like.
For high-volume regulars, this tool can benefit you as well. If you are looking to add more networks to your schedule, Tourneys will allow you to see tournaments across multiple sites that fit your buy-in range. Additionally, if a new tournament pops up on another network that you currently do not play on, this tool will allow you to become aware of it so you do not miss out of the new action.
Tourneys supports the iPhone and iPod Touch platforms and requires operating system 3.0 or higher. For the low price of just $2.99, Tourneys is well worth it. Give it a shot.
If you have any questions or concerns about Tourneys, please make a post in the Software Discussion forum and we will be there to help.
