Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear CardRunners. Happy birthday to you. All this week, the popular poker training site CardRunners is celebrating its fifth anniversary. The big zero-five is cause for celebration among the faithful of CardRunners, who have an entire week to take advantage of several top-tier promotions and deep discounts. Let’s find out what the fuss is all about.
The birthday celebration kicked off on Monday and runs through December 12th. For us, the highlight of the fifth anniversary blowout is CardRunners waiving the sign-up fee for new members. You read that right. If you sign up for CardRunners between December 6th and 12th, you won’t pay a dime for a sign-up fee. $0! It’s regularly $100 on top of any monthly costs, which makes this part of the anniversary promotion truly worthy of a song.
Text found on CardRunners’ website explains, “Sign up between December 6th and 12th and receive $100 off. For one week only, we're waiving the sign-up fee for all new members, and a CardRunners subscription is a great gift for any poker player in your life.” Monthly memberships are $30, with discounts given for those who pay for six and 12 months at a time. That price is in line with the rest of the industry.
Also this week, CardRunners is giving away several top-of-the-line electronics, including a MacBook Air, a digital SLR camera, a spanking new iPad, and an Xbox Kinect, the latter of which is on this author’s Christmas list this year. One prize will be awarded each day during the week to members. CardRunners is also shelling out a buy-in to this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP).
CardRunners isn’t done there, however. The poker training site is giving away an invaluable leak finding session with David "Raptor" Benefield. You’ll learn side-by-side with one of the top pros on the planet whose credits include a final table this year in a $5,000 No Limit Hold’em tournament at the WSOP. If you miss out on the instruction with Benefield, you could score a 75-minute coaching session with CardRunners instructor Matthew Janda.
The final component of CardRunners’ fifth birthday celebration is a special $5 Rebuy with $5,000 added to the prize pool. Talk about value! Text found on CardRunners’ website gives the 4-1-1 on the affordable tournament: “Instructors are offering bounties on their heads and CardRunners will be giving away a surprise bounty for busting any Team CardRunners Red Pro. A full list of pros playing and the bounties they're offering will be available before the event begins.” The password to the December 11th online poker tournament can be found in the CardRunners forums.
This week’s videos being posted on CardRunners cover a wide variety of topics including No Limit Hold’em Rush Poker, $200nl, the 2010 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), Six-Max Pot Limit Omaha, Badugi, and Non-Turbo Sit and Gos. Visit CardRunners for more information and don’t forget to sign up today while the $100 fee is waived.
