Nowadays, even the fish have access to tools like hand history trackers, Heads-Up Displays, and stats. That’s why you not only have to study and work hard at your game, but you also need to use any helpful resource you can.
PokerTableStats was recently launched. It’s a piece of software designed to give you all of the information you need to increase your decision making speed, help you make better decisions, and let you play more tables at the same time.
The software will tell you what chances you have to win and what cards your opponents mucked in a previous hand as stated in the hand history file. It’ll also tell you what tournament phase you are in, what draws and outs you have, and even give you a rating of your pocket cards’ strength.
It’s important that you never violate the Terms of Service for any online poker site that you play on, as some pieces of software are against the rules. Fortunately, PokerTableStats is fully PokerStars certified, meaning that the world’s largest online poker site has reviewed the program and deemed it acceptable to use.
The software has Normal and Mini modes, so if you are only interested in seeing base stats, you can switch your tables over to Mini mode. PokerTableStats runs a console that attaches itself to every poker table you have open. The program can also arrange tables on your desktop to maximize the available window area and free up space to add even more.
There’s also a pocket card ranking calculation to let you know how strong your cards are and how they rank out of the 169 possible combinations. This will help you to decide what to play, what to fold, what your ICM calculation is, and whether to push or fold in key tournament situations.
Also helpful are the draw and outs calculations, in which PokerTableStats will show you your outs and what draws you have. You can even see the probability of hitting your outs on the turn or river so that you know what cards are good for you and what your pot odds are. There is also a Long-Term Effect Calculation (EVO) that will give you a percentage describing to what degree your decision is profitable given the pot odds and number of outs you have.
The Max Stack Lose feature is a percentage of the maximum part of your stack you can lose in a round. Also, look for the Hand Odds table, which pops up and tells you the odds you and your opponent have.
Finally, there are two other features inside the program, PokerStrategy Phase and See Mucked Cards. The PokerStrategy Phase is defined as the Harrington Effective M calculation based on the small blind, big blind, and ante. It’ll show you what zone you are currently in based on that calculation, be it Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, or Dead. The See Mucked Cards feature lets you view the hand that your opponent threw away if it went to showdown and the player elected to not turn it over.
As of right now, it appears that PokerTableStats is available as a free piece of beta software, but after the beta period is done, it will be available for purchase. You can find more at PokerTableStats.com.
