Just recently, PokerStars has put a stop to data mining the results of certain sit and go tournaments.  How did they do it?  You can now only see the results in the lobby of certain sit and go tournaments if you actually played in the tournament.  Currently, not all sit and go lobbies are locked.  This new feature puts a big damper on sites that track player's results by scanning the lobbies.  PokerStars states, "At PokerStars we believe that the only people who have the right to see your Sit & Go tournament history (including ROI, total profit, and so on) are you, and people you explicitly choose to share that information with".

PokerStars released a new software update today that includes new security options and a great new lobby feature.  You can now request a 6-digit PIN number from PokerStars to use in addition to your password.  You can also request an RSA Security Token that will upgrade your security by using "two-factor" authentication on your account.  Thats not all!  For cash game players who try to register in several games at once, it can get frustrating to keep clicking on tables where you are already sitting.  The tables that you are already playing are now highlighted in red in the lobby!

For those who are unfamiliar, StoxEV is a hand equity tool that helps you determine correct plays in nearly any situation.  Very recently, StoxEV released version 2.1.5 of their software.  The new release includes the following changes and fixes:

PokerTracker 3 estimates the release their next beta to be March 25th.  Some of the features in the next beta will include Microgaming and Entraction support, and numerous bug fixes.  PokerTracker 3 also has future plans to incorporate limit conversions, HUD configuration improvements, graphing improvements, and EV stats.

Periodically, PokerStars will fail to open up the lobby of all of your tournaments you have registered for before they begin.  Unfortunately, you could be playing for several minutes and blinding out without realizing it.  This new AutoHotKey script automatically fires the "Registered in Tournaments" search option for you so that you do not mis the start of any tournaments.

Full Tilt Poker recently annouced that they have released a new beta and have mad some exciting change to their software.  "The graphics are very different. This is mostly good news since they're much sharper and prettier in general", says ftpdoug over on pocketfives.com.  There are also several other welcomed changes taking place with the new software.
