Over the weekend, Tournament Poker Edge, a popular poker training site, launched Tournament Poker Edge University. What is it? It's much like what comes to mind when you hear the word "university" and includes videos, articles, podcasts, and quizzes all with the same goal in mind: to advance your game as much as possible.

Site Owner and Founder Derek Tenbusch commented in a press release obtained by PokerSoftware, "Tournament Poker Edge has been the go-to MTT training site for nearly four years. As the site has grown, the most common question we have received from our community is where to start. We've created TPE U as a sort of 'course outline' for new and veteran members alike. It is our hope that it will provide clear road map to learning for our members. That being said, we recognize that different people like to digest information in different ways. So, we have built TPE U as an add-on to the existing site. If you prefer to just watch the videos as they come out, or in random order, you are still very much welcome to do so."

There are seven courses arranged in steps at TPE University: Getting Started at TPE, Early Stages, Middle Stages, Late Stages, Micro/Low-Stakes, Mid-Stakes, and High-Stakes. There are also nine so-called Electives, including 3betting and 4betting and Bet-Sizing; Bankroll Building and Management; Hand Reading and Image; Final Tables; Hyper-Turbos, Turbos, and Rebuys; Live, Heads-Up, and Mixed Games; Math and HUDs; Money Bubbles, ICM, and Advanced Play; and Pre-Flop, Post-Flop, and Position.

According to Tournament Poker Edge officials, "Tournament Poker Edge University is available to all existing and new members of Tournament Poker Edge." In order to pass a particular class or elective, a person needs to view at least 60% of the content in it and then get at least 16 quiz questions right. You'll get a patch once you've completed the requirements, which you can sport at your next live tournament, among other places.

Tournament Poker Edge does not charge a signup fee, so if the concept of structured poker training sounds interesting, then there's not much to lose when it comes to giving TPE a shot. TPE runs $23.95 per month with no signup fee. You can snag a quarterly subscription for $69.95 or pay $239.95 for an annual subscription.

The site boasts a lineup of pros that includes Casey "bigdogpckt5s" Jarzabek, Mike "SowersUNCC" Sowers, Mike "goleafsgoeh" Leah, Justin "looshle" Pechie, and Andrew "foucault82" Brokos. Visit Tournament Poker Edge's website for more details.
