Extreme Makeover: Poker Software Edition

Recently, there have been updates and announcements from some of the major poker software applications available to online players. Holdem Genius, Calculatem Pro, and Texas Calculatem all released new versions offering new features, stability, and selling points. We’ll take a look at the newly-announced features and see how they add to the program’s value to poker players.

Holdem Genius Updates to Version 1.5.2

Earlier in the week, Holdem Genius was updated to version 1.5.2 that added better stability to the program as well as new features. The highlights of the update include:

- Now supports more poker rooms than any other poker calculator
- Table size and skin no longer affect the software's reading capabilities
- Ability to resize tables and use any skin
- Less susceptible to updates which poker rooms make that would bring errors
- The information generated by Holdem Genius is more accurate and computes faster
- Added flexibility to the program’s engine to allow for additional new features in the future.

For existing users of the program, to make the changes take full effect, you must launch the poker room through the interface of Holdem Genius. If a user wants to use the program on multiple sites, all you have to do is open a new table and an attach box will appear over the center of it. Finally, to use the program on two different poker rooms at the same time, a user has to launch the second poker room through the Holdem Genius interface identically to the first launch.

This update gives a lot more flexibility to users and is one that all users should take advantage of. The program becomes more forgiving of site updates and operates faster. Everyone’s a winner here.
