WizHUD v1.2 Released for SNG Wizard

For sit and go players, the software program SNG Wizard can teach you how make money playing single-table tournaments by analyzing the best strategy for beating the game.  As people have discovered in the last few years, there is a mathematical solution for playing when blinds approach certain levels.  The consistent winners at the mid- and high-stakes know the strategies necessary to win like the back of their hand, but for new players, SNG Wizard can be the most powerful learning tool to improve their game and ROI.

Most sites have stated that SNG Wizard is against the Terms of Service if it is running while someone is playing. However, if used separately from your sessions, it's a tool that allows a player to better their game.  SNG Wizard analyzes tournament hand history files and runs an analysis of each individual hand.  The analysis compares the equity a player would have if they had folded pre-flop as compared to the equity the same player would have if they had pushed all-in.

During this analysis phase and while replaying hands, Heads-Up Display (HUD) stats from Holdem Manager were previously not available to be displayed from within the SNG Wizard program.  At the end of April on the TwoPlusTwo forums, it was announced by “Hood” that WizHUD v1.2 would allow a user to display a HUD overlay for SNG Wizard from a user's Holdem Manager database.  Initially, Hood announced that the program was only compatible with Holdem Manager and not PokerTracker 3, but that support for the latter program could come in the future should demand dictate it.  The program is being positioned as a review tool to aid a player to see how well they made a decision with the added benefit of HUD stats.

In addition to supporting a HUD overlay, WizHUD v1.2 also has the slick feature of sending all selected hands from within Holdem Manager to SNG Wizard by clicking the middle mouse button.  This simple shortcut allows a user to filter through hands on their own immediately , something that SNG Wizard does not do. A new feature for registered users of WizHUD v1.2 allows for Nash calculations to be brought in from the web.  A user would hit “WIN+N” on any game and a browser window will pop up with the Nash range calculations imported from the site.

Registration for WizHUD v1.2 is $16 and includes additional stats, the ability to display known hole cards, the ability to filter by player numbers, and additional configurations.  The standalone freeware edition of WizHud v1.2 can be downloaded and installed for basic features such as the ability to display VPIP, PFR, Steal, and Defending statistics.

The developer of WizHUD v1.2 is active and receptive for feedback as well as suggestions for new features in future versions of the program.  For now, SNG Wizard users have a very nice new tool to help them improve their game.
