Pokerface is a brand new program that imports statistics from your PokerTracker 3 and Holdem Manager databases and graphically displays your opponents’ hand ranges, VPIP, aggression, position information, and much more. At a quick glance, you will be able to get a better idea of what your opponent may have instead of trying to interpret the Heads-Up Display (HUD) statistics yourself.
Pokerface also imports notes you have on your opponents so that you will have access to these via the program instead of switching back and forth between windows. The program also offers a PokerStove notification tab that will present hand ranges in a format that can easily be copy and pasted into the popular poker odds calculator. Then, you can run a full analysis on the various hand ranges that your opponents could be holding. Here is what Pokerface looks like:
Here is an explanation about the above example: In a 10-player $0.50/$1 game where “fishaymany1369” had 31 hands, he was playing 35.50% of his starting hands. He has played hands in that 35.50% range such as A-Ko, A-Ts, J-Ts, and 9-7s, but is also willing to play hands outside of that range such as A-3o and 4-4. From the small and big blinds, he will play half of his starting hands, but under the gun, he is extremely tight. He is most aggressive on the button or just off, but overall he is not a very aggressive player. Of course, 31 hands is a small sample size, so the more hands you have imported from your database, the more accurate your reads will be.
Pokerface is a downloadable client for Windows XP and Vista. PokerTracker 3 or Holdem Manager must be installed on your computer for the program to function. You can use the program on a trial basis for free, but you can only open two Pokerface windows and load a maximum of 350 hands per player. Once registered, the number of hands is unlimited. Pokerface sells for $39.95, which includes a lifetime license.
Pokerface is a great tool that will add just a bit more to your bag of tools at the table. Any tool we can use to help us increase our win rate at the table is obviously beneficial. If you are struggling to interpret statistics in your HUD efficiently, then give Pokerface a shot.
