We’re nearing the middle of June and already we’ve had a slew of members sign up for our Free Poker Software program this month. If you’ve never heard of it before, here’s how the Free Software program works. First, select the piece of software you’d like to receive (for free, of course). If you’re clueless as to what to pick, try some of our most popular selections like Calculatem Pro, Holdem Manager, PokerTracker, SNG Wizard, Tournament Shark, IdleMiner, and Tournament Indicator.
Then, pick an online poker site to sign up for and complete the requirements listed. Remember: You will only qualify for free software if you have never had an account - real or play money - on the poker website you choose. Be sure to take note of the play requirements for each site. Just about every room we work with happily takes action from the United States, so rest assured you’ll find a site that will suit your fancy.
Once you’ve selected a site, download it onto your computer and create an account. You’ll also receive a first-time deposit bonus for your troubles. Make sure to clear your cookies in case you’ve inadvertently been tracked to another website. After installing the room of your choice, come back to the page you were just on (Step 3) and hit the big green “Continue” button. Finally, enter the requested information about your account and hit “Submit.” It’s as simple as that. Click here to get started.
We’ve published three Limit Hold’em articles in recent days to help you become an expert in using software compatible with the popular poker variety. Read our informative interviews with Limit Hold’em Heads-Up Display (HUD) experts Brian “Ballzdeepx” Aleksa and Tony “Tpiranha” Pirone. Both are CardRunners pros and will show you exactly what to put in your HUD to make you a winner.
When you’re done soaking up the inside information given in those two articles, check out Leak Buster Limit, which is an app available within Holdem Manager. Leak Buster Limit’s programmers tout that the software will find between six and 16 significant poker leaks on average. Also within the program are video tutorials on how to correct your leaks, which students of the game often find more helpful than mundane text. If you’re a serious player, then you need to be able to locate leaks quickly and easily. For Limit Hold’em players, Leak Buster Limit is your salvation.
In recent days, we also interviewed LeggoPoker instructor Brian “BW07507” Wilbur to get tips on assigning hand ranges in No Limit Hold’em HUDs. Color-coding your HUD is essential for most players and Wilbur provides several helpful tips to get your HUD looking like a Christmas tree in no time. Wilbur also discusses overused stats, underused stats, and what players should make sure ends up in their popup windows.
In recent days, we also released the fifth PokerSoftware.com Podcast. This time around, we talk to CardRunners head honcho Taylor “Green Plastic” Caby, who breaks down what has made his poker training site so popular, which programs are “musts” to use, and how to improve your game in no time. When you’re done checking out what Caby has to say, listen to past podcasts with officials from SNG Wizard, PlayerGPS, Poker Push Bot, and PokerTracker.
If you have any questions about any piece of poker software, ask us by posting in the Software Discussion forum. We’re there to respond any day of the week to your every need, so don’t hesitate to ask.
