Artur Pietrzyk, CEO and lead developer of PokerTableStats, has been hard at work adding more improvements and features to make the application even more competitive with other HUD programs. PTS has earned a solid reputation of providing real-time features that assist online poker players in making decisions at the tables that benefit their bottom line.
For those who haven't tried out the software, PokerTableStats indicates your pre-flop hand strength, number of post-flop outs, your opponents' mucked hands, and much more. On top of this, PTS stores all statistics in a cloud, meaning you can access the information from anywhere in the world provided you have an internet connection.
The latest update to PTS focuses on the Heads-Up Display (HUD). Effective immediately, PTS users can have access to a player style recognition feature, which tags your opponents in the following categories:
Semi Loose-Aggressive / Aggressive = S LAG / AG
Semi Loose-Passive / Aggressive = S CS / AG
Loose-Aggressive / Aggressive = LAG / AG
Tight-Passive / Passive = ROCK / P
Loose-Passive / Passive = CS / P
Semi-Loose-Aggressive / Passive = S LAG / P
Loose-Aggressive / Passive = LAG / P
Loose-Passive / Aggressive = CS / AG
Tight-Aggressive / Aggressive = TAG / AG
Tight-Aggressive / Passive = TAG / P
Tight-Passive / Aggressive = ROCK / AG
Semi-Lose-Passive / Passive = S CS / P
Tight Aggressive = TAG
The player style tags are available on both the mini HUD and full HUD in accordance with calculations made on PokerTableStats servers in the cloud. The player style titles add another layer to the already crisp, clear, and easy-to-understand HUD that PTS is known for.
This feature can be useful for those who like to identify player tendencies in order to recognize the number of fish and solid players at a particular table. The more information you have at your fingertips, the better equipped you'll be to rake in profit, and the staff at PokerTableStats is very mindful of this fact. The labels outlined above represent both pre-flop and post-flop player tendencies so you can make the best decision.
Additional updates are on their way according to Pietrzyk, and PokerTableStats members can expect more features to be available by the end of the year. The newest player label feature is especially useful for Professional and Gold members of PTS, who have the ability to store their own private database of hand histories on PTS servers.
If you're wondering whether a program like PokerTableStats is allowed on the major online poker sites, rest assured that it is. PokerStars has even specifically white-listed the application on its software page and PTS is an allowed program on every site it is compatible with, a huge relief for online poker players.
In order to take advantage of the player style labels, you'll need to be a Professional or Gold member. Fortunately, PTS comes with three convenient monthly plans for full usage: Basic ($5.99 per month - does not include HUD), Professional ($7.99 per month - includes HUD, two computer licenses, and all features), and Gold ($9.99 per month - includes HUD, four computer licenses, all features, and priority customer support). Each plan comes with a two-day trial period during which you can cancel with no further obligation. View our Poker Table Stats review.
