There's major news from Tournament Parser this week. If you haven't heard of the software before, Tournament Parser allows you to download your tournament information and post summaries to online poker forums with the click of a mouse.
This week, its developers added cash game tracking for the Merge Gaming Network.
To take advantage of cash game tracking on Merge, click on the "Player Admin" button at the bottom of the Merge lobby.
When you do, you will be taken to a website and, on the left-hand side of it, you'll see a link that's labeled "Ledger History." Click it.
You will then be taken to a page that shows your tournament history. To select everything on the page, hold down the "Control" key on your keyboard and press the letter "A" (the "Select All" command). Next, copy the text by pressing the "Control" key and the letter "C."
Next, open Tournament Parser on your computer and you'll see a menu called "Merge." Under it, choose "Paste Ledger History." In the box, hit the "Control" key and then "V," which will paste the tournament history from the "Ledger History" page into Tournament Parser. Press the "OK" button and your tournament history will be displayed in Tournament Parser.
Once you've pasted your Merge tournament information into Tournament Parser, you can use the filter to remove any entries that you don't want or need. Finally, click the "Rail" tab at the top of Tournament Parser to generate your rail.
We'll admit that it sounds like a lot of tedious steps, but it's really not. Basically, you're copying and pasting tournament information from Merge into Tournament Parser.
The Merge Gaming Network is the largest U.S.-facing network left in the market. According to the watchdog site PokerScout.com, Merge is the eighth largest network worldwide and has a seven-day average of 1,660 real money ring game players. During peak hours, it can boast upwards of 3,000 cash game players. Merge Gaming Network rooms include Carbon Poker and Lock Poker.
Tournament Parser's latest major update comes just one week after support was added for PartyPoker. Only tournaments played within the last 30 days on PartyPoker can be used in conjunction with Tournament Parser, but the addition of one of the largest rooms in the world was certainly welcome news for many customers. The bottom line is that Tournament Parser's developers understand the importance of supporting as many sites as possible given the fragmented nature of our industry.
By the way, if you're interested in using Tournament Parser in conjunction with PartyPoker, here are the instructions:
1. Open PartyPoker.
2. Go to "My Account," "Transaction History," and "Tournament Buy-In History for Completed Tournaments."
3. Fill in the fields on the page.
4. Hit "Control" + "A" and then "Control" + "C" to select the information and copy it.
5. Open Tournament Parser.
6. From the "PartyPoker" menu in Tournament Parser, choose "Paste History File."
7. Paste the information into the page ("Control" + "V").
8. Press "OK." Your tournament history will show in Tournament Parser.
9. Filter out any unwanted or unneeded tournaments.
10. Click the "Rail" tab at the top of Tournament Parser to generate your rail.
If you're interested in buying Tournament Parser, it's pretty affordable. One-month memberships run $3, while six-month memberships are $15, which saves you 300 pennies. You can score a one-year membership for $25 (a savings of $11 off the regular price) or a get a two-year membership for $40 ($32 off the regular price).
Tournament Parser is one of the easiest programs to use that we've come across, so don't be afraid to take it for a test drive, at least for a month. View our Tournament Parser review.
