CardPlayer, long known for its tournament tracking and news for online and live poker, has launched a new application that is sure to be a hit with Seven Card Stud players. The all-new Seven Card Stud Odds Calculator is currently available on CardPlayer's website by clicking the "Poker Tools" tab from the left-hand menu and then choosing the "Seven Card Stud" option underneath "Poker Odds Calculators" at the top.

The new calculator is unique in that it allows up to six hands to be placed within it. Dead cards from players who have mucked can also be incorporated, which makes for a much more accurate final calculation and a better grasp of Seven Card Stud concepts.

This tool is sure to be a winner with Seven Card veterans and newbies alike due to its crisp layout that includes easy-to-read icons for all 52 cards, multi-pot calculations, and quick mathematical solutions. There are also odds calculators provided for Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and Omaha Hi/Lo, and a Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo version of this tool should be released soon.

Using a Seven Card Stud odds calculator like the one on CardPlayer's website can take a beginning player on the fast track to improvement. Counting mucked cards from dead hands is of utmost importance for Stud players and the concept is easily translatable onto the calculator. Find out instantly how well your selected hand stacks up against a heads-up opponent or up to five other competitors. Practice without the pressure of wagering real money or having to make on-the-spot decisions that will affect your bankroll.

There are plenty of basic concepts that can be acquired through utilizing a tool such as this one. For one, it trains a player to keep each dead hand in mind due to the mucked face cards that must be counted for accuracy purposes. For example, if a player is looking to make a spade flush and two players previously folded, each having three spades as their door cards, then the chances of making a flush are significantly reduced.

Another example is if a player has two pair, queens and sevens, and there have already been two sevens and two queens mucked face-up during the hand. Making full use of the ability to keep track of all cards that have been used in the hand can make the difference between a losing player and a seasoned pro who rakes in considerable profit long-term.

A really neat feature of CardPlayer's Seven Card Stud Calculator is that it doesn't require you to push a "Calculate Now" button. Once the cards are entered, the application automatically places win/loss percentages on each hand.

You can easily switch cards in and out without having to go back and press an extra button, meaning all of the work is done for you. To go down to the "Dead Cards" area, simply double-click on the empty slots and the cards you select will be automatically placed in the corresponding locations.
