If you're a fan of non-stop poker, then you'll love FastForward from PartyPoker, which has made its way out of beta. PartyPoker officials made the announcement late last week that FastForward was officially past its beta testing, sending out a press release that read in part, "FastForward has now moved out of beta and is a great new way to play your favorite cash games at PartyPoker by making sure that you are always at the center of the action. FastForward is just like conventional poker – just faster… much faster!"
PartyPoker rolled out FastForward in mid-August, jumping on the hyper-speed game bandwagon. It's similar to Zoom Poker at PokerStars and other high-speed games in that as soon as you fold, you'll be whisked away to a brand new table with a new set of opponents where a new hand will begin instantly.
There's no down time or lapse of any kind, making FastForward an action junkie's dream. You don't even have to wait for the action to come around to you in a hand. Instead, you can elect to fold ahead of time and PartyPoker's software will do it for you when the time comes.
FastForward is available at No Limit Hold'em cash game tables with stakes of $0.01/$0.02 and up. In order to take a seat, just click the "FastForward" tab in the PartyPoker client and then select your game. When you register, you'll be added to a pool of players as opposed to a specific table.
PartyPoker spreads heads-up FastForward games, which we have yet to try, but wager they are some of the fastest poker games you'll find. Given that you're always checking, folding, calling, or betting in heads-up games, we're pretty sure you'll get a kick out of the FastForward version. And make sure to let us know how you do by posting in our Software Discussion forum here on PokerSoftware.
Pumped to be promoting FastForward is outspoken PartyPoker front man Tony G, an Australian poker pro who commented in the same press release, "Poker is about action, action, and more action and for that reason it is great to have FastForward cash games on PartyPoker. Play fast or go home." By the way, the FastForward games for Denmark poker players came out of beta on Monday.
You can open up to four FastForward tables at once in the same pool or across multiple pools. Note that if you choose the former, you'll never be seated at the same table with yourself. As text found on PartyPoker's website outlines, "You will be able to select the number of tables you wish to buy into on the buy-in dialog box when you try to sit at a pool." Just enter one to four tables and you'll be on your way.
You'll earn PartyPoints at a rapid-fire pace in FastForward games, which will help you climb the ranks of PartyPoker's VIP system quickly. This should be welcome news for hardcore grinders everywhere.
PartyPoker has a fully downloadable Mac client as well as a 100% up to $500 first-time deposit bonus for new players. Visit PartyPoker today and check out FastForward for yourself!
