Hot Topics in Poker Software for October 12

We've had a busy August and September on PokerSoftware, having added several pieces of software to our Recommended Program. The first one we want to highlight is NoteCaddy Edge, which you can view updates on in its Official Support Thread in our forums. NoteCaddy Edge developers have been hard at work rolling out new definitions.

In fact, as site officials remarked on PokerSoftware, NoteCaddy Edge is up to 272 Note Definitions and 92 Badges (47 Regular Badges and 45 Opposite Badges). That's a lot. Comparatively, when NoteCaddy Edge was first introduced to the PokerSoftware community, it had fewer than 200 Note Definitions. There are also YouTube instructional videos to guide you through using each note.

For those who might not know whether NoteCaddy Edge will be useful, you can take advantage of a 15-day money-back guarantee. So, if you're ultimately confused by how the program works or just decide it's not for you, you can return it and get your money back. This option is only available if you purchase NoteCaddy Edge through its website, as opposed to a third-party reseller.

As NoteCaddy Edge officials explained on PokerSoftware, "We stand behind our products and are confident you will find it all useful. If for any reason you want a refund within the first 15 days of purchasing, just send us an e-mail at and we'll reimburse you through PayPal, no questions asked. We're happy to help with any problems you may encounter, but if you just simply want a refund, it's yours."

Also brewing in the PokerSoftware forums is news from Cardshark Brain, a mobile poker app that will make honing your game on the go a piece of cake. According to CardShark Brain officials in a Software Discussion thread, "Cardshark Brain is now also available in the Windows Phone Store for those that have Windows Phones."

Cardshark Brain is quite affordable, weighing in at $1.99, but that doesn't mean it's short on substance. Instead, the program has five tools that will help elevate any player's game: a Hand Strength tool, Odds Calculator, Pot Odds Calculator, EV Calculator, and Post-Flop Analysis tool. Did we mention that Cardshark Brain costs less than $2?

The Windows download is 3 MB in size and requires a device with Windows Phone 7 or later in order to function. If you're an Apple junkie, you can take solace in knowing that Cardshark Brain is also available for the iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone, so don't feel left out!

Finally, we'd be amiss if we didn't talk about PokerTableStats, which is reaching out to Full Tilt Poker players and offering a free one-month Gold subscription to anyone who has at least $10 locked up on FTP. Sure, the value of a Gold subscription might not be anywhere near the value of your Full Tilt bankroll, but you can at least take advantage of a freebie at PokerTableStats. If you don't want to continue beyond the first month, then cancel. No big deal. Read more.
