StackAndTile Adds Drag-and-Drop Feature, Ability to Stack or Tile
Stack and Tile helps multi-tabling online poker player organize their screens across a variety of sites. The
StackAndTile team is constantly working on improving their product to incorporate what their customers want and need to make playing as many tables as possible a breeze.
Most online poker players realize that by increasing the number of tables they can profitably handle at one time, the more money they should be able to make an hour. However, many poker players fall into a trap of adding too many tables at once without the assistance of external
MTT software.
I have fallen in the trap in the past of adding too many tables and spending too much time organizing them, potentially losing focus on important spots. I have also found that while playing online poker over multiple sites, I have timed out without realizing it and sat out for significant periods of time.
The fine art of deciding the perfect number of tables is not easy to achieve, but before giving up on adding more of them, there are many different types of external programs that empower people to play more tables and make quicker decisions.
The general idea behind StackAndTile is that tables you don't need to focus on are stacked on top of each other, whereas tables you need to focus on are tiled in a grid. By focusing only on tables that require your attention, you should be able to add additional tables easily without timing out or sitting out.
The team at StackAndTile works diligently to keep up with the times. After the latest update, the StackAndTile software now directly supports almost every major online poker room:
PokerStars,
Full Tilt, iPoker,
888 Poker, Ongame, Revolution, Merge, Bodog/Bovada, and the Winning Poker Network. If you play on any other poker sites, you can still use StackAndTile by using its custom support wizard.
Also in the latest update, StackAndTile made it even easier to set up your grid layout for the tiled tables by snapping edges of neighboring tables. Its developers have also added a handy drag-and-drop feature to enable a quicker table swap between slots.
Perhaps the biggest update is now being able to choose between stacking and tiling. While I like the idea of the stacking and tiling being automated for you during game play, there were many players asking to either stack or tile across multiple sites.
The benefit I see to stacking all of your tables is that it keeps you focused on one table at a time. The downside is that it is impossible to pay attention to game flow when multi-tabling off of one stack. Instead, you need to rely on your
HUD and general poker skills in order to make decisions.
The benefit I see to tiling all of your tables is that it will integrate all of your sites without overlap, thus allowing you to choose which tables you want to pay attention to without the table being tossed in a stack. While this doesn’t seem like a horrible option, it probably limits the maximum number of tables you can effectively play compared to stacking and tiling your tables.
StackAndTile is becoming more and more popular among multi-tablers. However, the one complaint I repeatedly hear most often is that it has a monthly cost instead of a fixed fee. The cost is $17.95 per month, which may seem expensive, but if you're able to add just one table more per session profitably, it easily pays itself off.
For smaller stakes players, there is a plan that costs $8.95 per month, while micro-stakes players can use the software for free. I agree with the critics and would prefer a fixed rate for this software since it can add up to over $200 a year, or thousands of dollars over the course of your poker career. Since the software pays for itself for profitable poker players, it makes sense to use at this price point until there is quality competition for this type of software.
If you are thinking of trying StackAndTile, there is a 15-day free trial and a 30-day risk-free, money-back guarantee if you're not satisfied.
