PokerTracker 4 Fine Tunes Mac OS X Software
The latest update to
PokerTracker 4 occurred in recent days and tackled many of the issues with its newly released Mac OS X software. With any new build of a longstanding program like PokerTracker, hiccups were likely to occur, but the software's developers released Version 4.07.2, which should result in a much smoother Mac user experience.
According to a press release received by PokerSoftware, the latest version of PokerTracker 4 "fixed numerous (but sometimes rare) crashes, freezes, and bugs which affected Mac OS X users" and "updated numerous stats to improve reporting results and added new tournament length stats. An optional database cache rebuild is required to implement these changes."
Speaking of the new stats, PokerTracker 4 has added Length Player, Tournament Start Player, and Tournament End Player. These are in addition to the already robust lineup of stats that PokerTracker 4 offers.
In case you want to know more about the aforementioned stats, the same press release explained, "The tournament statistics… all use the start and end times of the whole tournament rather than the times which the player actually played in the tournament. We found that some of our users expected this to be the time they actually played in the tournament; we have added these stats so both versions are available to our users."
For fans of Rush Poker on
Full Tilt, the latest PokerTracker 4 build improved Rush Poker table detection and support was added for identifying the table's size. Rush Poker was the original fast-fold game and, while you're playing it, you'll be fully armed with your PokerTracker
Heads-Up Display.
As PokerTracker officials said, plenty of Mac issues were corrected, including fixing an error that occurred due to the "Tournaments May Require Detection" window not appearing. Also, an issue that popped up with crashes and memory leaks was addressed. Redrawing player names, which could cause a crash of the program, can now be successfully executed.
The new build is primarily geared toward Mac players, as the same press release lauded, "For the majority of our users, their experience with the Mac release has been pain-free, but this release will fix the problems that have been haunting the rare few users that had issues which remained unsolved after our launch 10 days ago."
If all of this sounds halfway intriguing, you should go ahead and give PokerTracker 4 a try. There's a free 30-day trial available and should you decide to purchase, the program will set you back $99.99 for the Full version, $59.99 for the Small-Stakes version, $159.99 for the Hold'em and Omaha Full version, and $99.99 for the Hold'em and Omaha Small-Stakes version.

Grrr. The Blog Spammers found a way around my anti-spam measrues and they're flooding me with comments filled with links to web sites. So far, keyword moderation is holding them back from public view, but I still have to deal with them.

Thanks, ~Coach. A Kindle word search tells me I'm just a few sceenrs away from the Moyer-Hattberg encounter, taxdood. Looking forward to it.By the way, was listening to today's B.S. Report podcast w/Bill Simmons and Bill Barnwell, the first few min. of which found the pair talking about Barnwell's latest Grantland column, "." Sounds like the NFL is about to experience its own revolution (or another one) with regard to technology & player evaluation. http://twrkqrrrdla.com uxpkdvpogtx [link=http://grsvjqpczy.com]grsvjqpczy[/link]
