The Poker Timer Adds Automated Poker Host

If you want to run a home game or even a professional event, The Poker Timer is for you.  The software will make the management of any tournament a breeze, allowing the tournament organizer to focus on other aspects of running the event.

The Poker Timer recently released Version 1.06, adding new features to the already robust tournament management software.  The new features are available on the free and paid versions of the software.

The biggest highlight of this new update is the automated poker host now announcing 10-minute, five-minute, and one-minute warnings to new blind levels.  The application will also count down the last 10 seconds of each round.  This should allow players participating in the tournament to focus more on the table and less on the screen showing when blinds increase.  It is important for players to know when blinds will increase, as it could have an effect on decisions.  A certain hand might be a fold if the blinds just started and a shove if the blinds are about to go up in one minute.

Also, having the 10-second countdown is great for those who are dealing.  In most home games, the hands are self-dealt, so everyone on the table should be aware when the blinds go up.  In professional games with a dealer, it allows the dealers themselves to focus on the table without having The Tournament Director announcing the blinds just went up.

The talking automated poker host will also announce when knockouts occurred and when players rebuy.

These new features allow players to have fun and get the information they want from the tournament with ease.  They can still look at the application's display to receive any additional information they want, but having immediate updates on the important aspects of the tournament will allow events to run smoother and more efficiently.

If you are hosting a poker tournament in the near future, I would recommend downloading the free version of The Poker Timer.  While there are some limitations, including only being able to include eight players and an online connection, it will give you a thorough understanding of what the software can provide without committing to payment.

If you are happy with what you see in the free version, I would recommend purchasing the paid version for $29.99.  The paid version will allow you to run full tournaments, save them for future use, and eliminate any ads from appearing.  Download The Poker Timer today!

Love this new addition. Just makes it that much easier to just get on and play a tournament. Really we'll rounded software now. The voice is pretty cool, not annoying at all. I have the paid version and have upgraded this year from the old Poker Timer. This new one is so much better.
