Full Tilt Launches Adrenaline Rush Poker

Full Tilt Poker started the fast-fold poker craze when it released Rush Poker in early 2010.  While this is a fast-paced game full of strategy, Full Tilt Poker decided it might not be fast enough.  This past week, Full Tilt released Adrenaline Rush Poker, a fast-fold variant where all decisions are based off pre-flop action.

At first, the idea of Adrenaline Rush Poker may seem similar to Rush Poker since whenever you fold a hand, you are brought to a new table with other players in the same pool you are playing in.  However, this is where the similarities end.  The major difference is that in Adrenaline Rush Poker, you have to push or fold your hand pre-flop; there is no betting allowed once the flop is dealt.

In Adrenaline Rush Poker, you can only buy-in for five to 10 big blinds and it's a capped game where 10 big blinds is always the betting limit.  You only have the options to raise or fold when it's your turn to bet except in situations where the betting cap has already been reached or another player's raise already puts you all-in if you call.  It is easy to see why this game can potentially be extremely profitable for players with a great understanding of short-stacked pre-flop play.

Another major difference is that all of the Adrenaline Rush games are four-handed.  While this might reduce the amount of multi-way all-in action, it is important to understand you should loosen up your ranges a bit with fewer players on the table.

Currently, Adrenaline Rush Poker is available at six different stakes, ranging from $0.02/$0.05 to $1/$2, only in a No Limit Hold'em format.  At the time of writing, all of the different stakes were packed with action.  It would be safe to assume that if this game takes off, we will see additional buy-ins available and other sites offering similar games.

For anyone using a HUD while playing this new and exciting poker game, I would recommend just focusing on pre-flop stats.  You should also consider making a new HUD setup just for this game focusing on anything that can help you range your opponents better.  Understanding which players fold too much, raise too often, or call capped bets with marginal holdings can help you understand how to approach hands in the most profitable way.

Great, this will take a lot of the fish away from the regular games. Push or fold just neutralizes most skill considering that skill is best maximized when there are more decisions to be made. This is just a more gambling based version of "poker".
