Tournament Poker Edge Launches Midstakes Living Podcast
If you haven't heard,
Tournament Poker Edge is one of the leading
poker training sites, especially for tournament players. Its impressive cast of instructors includes Matthew "TheGinger45" Hunt from Southampton, UK. Hunt has almost $1 million in tracked tournament cashes and recently began hosting an interesting new podcast entitled "Midstakes Living," which is designed to share insight in the day and the life of professional poker players.
These podcasts are free to listen to and are designed not only to give you general poker strategy to help you potentially make money playing the game, but also share other aspects of the poker lifestyle including healthy living, how to balance poker and life, and managing a bankroll. No matter how good you might already be in poker, understanding how players combat other activities outside of core strategy is important.
The first podcast of this series is 72 minutes long and features PokerStars Team Online member Mickey "mement_mori" Peterson. Whether you follow live or online poker, you have most likely have heard of Peterson, but just in case you haven't, he is one of the most successful players in the game with almost $6 million in online cashes and over $1 million in live tournament cashes according to PocketFives and the Hendon Mob.
The second podcast in the series features Marty "TheLipoFund" Mathis. It is slightly shorter at 69 minutes long, but is just as interesting to listen to as the first episode. Like all
Tournament Poker Edge podcasts, they are available for download, meaning you can listen to them while on the go or without an internet connection.
Tournament Poker Edge is very excited about this series. TPE founder Derek "killingbird" Tenbusch told PokerSoftware, "'Midstakes Living' is a podcast for the people who are trying to make poker work for themselves. The
Tournament Poker Edge Podcast filled a great void of MTT strategy, but we really wanted to create a podcast that dealt with all of the aspects of poker that can help you make more money, but are not standard strategy topics like bankroll management, staking, healthy living, and schedule-setting. These are all topics that we will address on 'Midstakes Living.'"
Besides being able to watch the 'Midstakes Living' and other podcasts for free, there are many insightful articles and blogs at TPE. You should check them out even if you are not planning on signing up for a paid membership.
Tournament Poker Edge has a constantly growing library with over 800 videos. It also recently added
Tournament Poker Edge University, which takes a unique approach in teaching you how to beat poker tournaments with a seven-step course and tons of electives. In addition to being one of the best poker tournament training sites,
Tournament Poker Edge is also one of the cheapest, costing only $29.95 per month, $84.95 for three months, or $299.95 per year.
