iOmaha Indicator Poker Calculator Launched
You should check out the new
iOmaha Indicator if you are one of the many players enjoying poker on a Mac and want a great tool to get you to the next step in your Omaha game. The
Mac poker program was just released by the same group that brought you the popular
iHoldem Indicator for the Mac and
Holdem Indicator,
Omaha Indicator, and
Tournament Indicator for the PC.
The software should help you get to the next level in your Omaha game by providing a clearly designed in-game poker odds calculator, manual poker odds calculator,
HUD, player stats, and a hand replayer all in one tool.
As far as we know, the in-game poker odds calculator is the first of its kind for the Mac. It not only works with regular Omaha, but also provides you outs and odds while you are playing street by street for Omaha 8 or Better.
When learning Omaha, many players fall into the trap of treating Omaha like Hold'em, over-valuing certain hands and undervaluing other hands with huge draws. This poker calculator is great for anyone just starting out, but it's also good for anyone who has been playing for a while. After you are done playing, you can play around with the manual poker calculator to get an idea of certain scenarios you might have been curious about. Here's a preview:
As you can see in part from the above, here is a look at what some of the poker odds calculator can do:
Win Odds – The software calculates win odds based off a complex algorithm, taking into account the number of players in the hand, your cards, and the community cards.
Pot Odds – Pot odds are a ratio of the amount of money you need to put into a pot to call compared to the amount already in the pot.
Hand Odds – The software displays the odds of you hitting certain hands and the odds your opponents might hit those hands.
Starting Hand Strength – The software uses four groups to determine the strength of starting hands, with Group 1 being the strongest and Group 4 being the weakest. It also provides you Hutchison Points for your starting hands.
Outs – Similar to Hold'em, this is the number of cards in the deck after the flop that will improve your hand.
Position – The software updates your position as the hand goes on.
If having all of this math and information at your disposal is not enough, the software provides you a HUD and player stats, which can be helpful for tough positions. You can configure your HUD to show the stats you wish to display. The HUD is not nearly as complex as others in the industry, which is a good thing and a bad thing. It is great since the HUD is very easy to handle, but if you are after some rare stat, the software might not be to provide it to you.
The player stats show tons of useful information, including putting your opponents into certain categories with an icon. If you are multi-tabling, this can be more useful than the HUD stats themselves since you'll have an idea of your opponents' playing style without focusing on the numbers.
The hand replayer is very easy to use and clearly displayed. It contains your HUD as well to help you see why you might have made a certain decision based off how you perceived your opponent.
iOmaha Indicator works with tournaments and cash games on PokerStars. The software has a one-time fee of $99.50, which should more than pay itself back with all of the helpful information it provides.
