PartyPoker Adds Sit and Gos to iOS App

If you play on PartyPoker, you're in for a treat, as the site added sit and gos to its iOS app, according to Pokerfuse and other sources. As the news site put it, "PartyPoker has added support for sit and go tournaments to its iPhone and iPad app. The update is available in the Apple iTunes Store in regulated markets. The addition comes a month after the online poker room upgraded its Android app with the same addition."

The update to the Android app that added sit and gos took place in late May and, according to Pokerfuse, has a full filter system, a Quick Play option, and automatic reopening of tables should a disconnect occur. The latter option is quite helpful and takes place when the app is re-launched, which makes accidental disconnects much easier to deal with.

Text on PartyPoker's website explained, "The PartyPoker app is fully kitted out for playing on the move. You can play on Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G networks and take a seat at hundreds of Texas Hold'em tables at the click of a button with 'Quick Seat.' Just pick what game type you want, hit 'Play Now,' and you'll instantly be dealt in."

If you start a game on your Android device, you can finish it on your desktop, making for a smooth transition between mobile poker machines. All you need to do is visit PartyPoker.com on your Android device or download it in the App Store on your iOS device like the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. Players from Austria, Azerbaijan, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden and the UK can play on the iOS app.

According to PokerScout, which keeps tabs on online poker room traffic, PartyPoker is the fourth busiest site in the world in terms of cash game traffic, with a seven-day running average of 1,600 real money ring game players and a 24-hour peak of 1,968.

PartyPoker's Android and iOS apps support cash games, sit and gos, and FastForward tables. Neither app supports MTTs yet.
