Introducing New NoteCaddy Heat Maps

If you are using Hold'em Manager 2 and love heat maps, you are in for a great surprise.  The NoteCaddy add-on to Hold'em Manager 2 now includes many new heat maps in its pop-ups to help you visualize your opponent's ranges instead of just seeing them in statistical form.

The new heat maps will automatically work on the latest download of Hold'em Manager 2.  The new option is available regardless of whether you are just using the basic NoteCaddy that comes with the software or whether you have purchased NoteCaddy Premium to help you get more power out of your HUD. However, the free version of NoteCaddy will only show three heat maps in the list for a few OpenLimp stats.

To get all of heat maps that come with NoteCaddy, you'll need a NoteCaddy Premium license. All you need to do after getting the Premium license is to restart Hold'em Manager 2.

In order to use the new heat maps, you need to go through a quick setup process on the stats you want the heat map to show.  To do this, click on HUD settings in the top menu bar of the software and then choose the fifth option listed, "Popup Designer."  From there, you can choose among the endless statistics listed and a grid of what pop-ups are available will appear.  Just click on the pop-up you are most interested in and then on the bottom of the screen select the heat map you want to go along with this pop-up under the NoteCaddy Heat Map option.

Once you have everything set up the way you want to, you can use the new heat maps while playing and for review.  Sometimes the numbers don't tell the entire story, which is why heat maps can be useful to you while playing.

For example, you may see that someone is open-raising early more than normal.  Could it be that this player tends to be an aggressive opener or could it be that this player saw a ton of premium hands, leading him to open more frequently than the average online poker player?  The heat maps will show you precisely which hands the player in question has been opening with that we have information on.

You may find out that this person was only caught opening with premium hands that even the tightest player will open with such as TT+ and AQ+.  Likewise, you may see some less-than-premium hands in the range, which will help you get a better idea of what type of opponent you are up against.

This tool can be excellent when studying or just to satisfy your curiosity about whether you played correctly.  The heat maps in the Hold'em Manager 2 hand history replayer work the same as if you were using tHEM in real-time.  This is also great when reviewing your hands with another player or coach, as they may ask you questions you weren't properly thinking about.

If you are already using Hold'em Manager and are not already using NoteCaddy, you are missing out on a wealth of information at your fingertips.  This is true regardless of whether you want to upgrade to the premium version or just take advantage of the free version that comes with a purchase of the Hold'em Manager 2 software.  Why not see how NoteCaddy and its new heat maps can help improve your thought process and real-time play on the online felts?  Visit NoteCaddy's website.
