New Recommended Poker Software: SharkScope and PStatTrack
If you haven't already noticed, PokerSoftware showcases some of the best programs you'll find to improve your game in the drop-down in the upper left that says "
Recommended." They're all there – programs like PokerTracker 4 and
Hold'em Manager 2, just to name a few.
This week, we've added two more pieces of software to what we call our Recommended Program: PStatTrack and SharkScope. We thought it'd be worthwhile to give you a brief overview of the pricing and details of each one. When you're done reading, be sure to check out our full reviews of each program to see how they can help you crush online poker.
PStatTrack
PStatTrack is an easy-to-use Heads-Up Display that provides as much information as you'll need to understand your opponents with the choice of four different HUDs. You can use it on PokerStars, Full Tilt, and 888 Poker and you'll be able to graph your results, complete with filters like date and stakes.
PStatTrack's HUD will update automatically after every hand you play, ensuring you always have the latest data at your fingertips.
You really can't go wrong with PStatTrack if you are looking for an inexpensive solution for a HUD, as it's priced much lower than its competitors. We recommend you giving them a shot, as the software is easy to use out of the box and won't take hours of customization to take advantage of what it has to offer. The fact that it has four default HUDs makes PStatTrack extremely helpful right out of the gate.
PStatTrack also keeps track of your tournament results and cash game results. Plus, it's compatible with both Hold'em and Omaha games, so you don't have to buy separate licenses for each poker variant.
PStatTrack Pricing: Free for the basic version, €14.99 lifetime license

Sharkscope
Track your stats and avoid the sharks with the help of the aptly-named SharkScope. It covers just about every major online poker network you can name and non-subscribers can still take advantage of the site by getting five free searches per day for free.
For anyone who plays tournaments seriously, a
Sharkscope subscription is a necessity for researching your opponents while you play. You can view players' profit histories, ROI, favorite games, and achievements. You'll know their average stake, where they play, and what screen names they use across the major sites. Not using
Sharkscope is like playing blind.
Some people think of
Sharkscope as primarily a site to research sit and go opponents, but that couldn't be further from the truth. No matter what types of tournaments you play – MTTs or sit and gos – head to
Sharkscope and see who you're up against.
SharkScope Pricing: $6 to $30 per month
