Nate Meyvis Releases PLO8 Series at Tournament Poker Edge
If you want to learn from some of the best tournament players in the world, you should definitely check out the
poker training site
Tournament Poker Edge. Many training sites offer videos on how to improve at poker tournaments, but
Tournament Poker Edge focuses on this format only, making every video one that can improve your game.
While most of TPE Nation is in Las Vegas for the 2016 World Series of Poker, it has not slowed down the release of new and informative content over the past six weeks. In fact, one video series worth checking out is by one of the site's relatively new instructors,
Nate Meyvis.
Meyvis is currently in Las Vegas, but that hasn't stopped the site from releasing a five-part video series entitled "PLO8 with Nate." The poker player has previously cashed in the WSOP Main Event three separate times, but this year he was unable to add a fourth cash after losing A-K to his opponent's A-Q.
If you haven't heard of Meyvis before, you may have heard of his site ThinkingPoker.net where he is constantly blogging. He is also is the co-host of nearly 200 episodes of free podcasts.
The latest video series he released is certainly worth watching. While most players tend to play No Limit Hold'em in tournaments, PLO8 is a great format for tournaments as well. Also, many players believe that the games are softer since there is far less in-depth strategy information readily available on how to approach this game in tournaments. If you watch the entire video series by Meyvis, you are likely to be able to dominate these games right away.
This is actually his second video series released. His first video series was released in April and may have been better themed for this time of the year since he reviewed hands from his 2015 World Series of Poker Main Event run when he took 717th place for $15,000.
This five-part video series entitled "Nate Meyvis Premiere Series – Live Poker Hand History Review" covers many concepts crucial to success at No Limit Hold'em including bluffing, continuation betting, hand reading, pre-flop play, and post-flop play during the early and mid-stages of a high-limit event. If you are ever thinking of playing in the World Series of Poker, or even if you aren't, this video series is a must-watch.
In addition to Meyvis, the site has recently released videos by co-host of the Thinking Poker podcast Andrew "foucault82" Brokos as well as Pete "The Saurus" Morris, Arvydas "Merfinis" Merfeldas, and Matthew "theginger45" Hunt.
Plans are inexpensively priced at $39.99 per month, $99.95 per quarter, or $299.95 per year. It just takes one piece of advice for this investment to pay off and then some.
