Everything You Need to Know About the Latest PokerTracker 4 Update

PokerTracker has been one of the industry leaders in this industry for years for good reason with their latest version being PokerTracker 4. They not only provide what many feel is the best poker tracking database and HUD around, but also constantly update it for changes that take place at online poker rooms and for other reasons. The best part is, that all updates are absolutely free after obtaining the initial license.
On Tuesday, February 21, PokerTracker rolled out its latest release, PokerTracker 4.14.22. It isn’t mandatory that you update to this, but personally as long as the release is a stable one like this one I do. This is also the case even if all of the listed updates don’t seem to improve anything for me, as you never know if they might later.
Two big changes affected local markets in Portugal and Denmark. Earlier in the year, PokerStars rolled out a ring-fenced and licensed poker client in Portugal (known as PokerStars Portugal) that has proven to be very popular since its first day.
While most of the site seems similar to other PokerStars clients, not everything is always perfectly the same. In the latest PokerTracker 4 release, the software’s
TableTracker is now supported.
Same idea goes for Denmark where the
PartyPoker software is slightly different. For those playing on Danske Spil, the third party software provider now added full support for the fast fold fastfoward game.
While these two additions affect a segmented part of PokerTracker’s customer base, there were a handful of others that were more global. The hand history replayer now supports 7-max games while the powerful HUD editor now added the ability to specify the horizontal line, stat separator, prefix colors, and suffix colors.
Also, the stat prefixes and suffixes are no longer affected by color ranges and the default HUD for four max games on PokerStars is now the default PokerStars 7 Nova theme. Something that you may not even notice is that the license server was also moved to ptlicense.com.
There were also plenty of fixes to the software in the latest release as well. On a non-site specific basis, the HUD editor fixed the sticky resizing which should prevent crashes, while also adding better messaging regarding clicking on multiple stats.
A fix was made that premium add-on additions no longer have a stake restriction related to play money tables and those using the Mac version should notice that video and community loading has improved. Additionally, a looping issue was fixed related to failed exchange rates.
There were also some fixes related to specific poker rooms. For example, on PokerStars an issue was fixed relating to the import of hyper turbo single table tournaments while on PokerStars Italy there is now support for the €0.84+€0.16 three-table turbo games.
Fastforward support wasn’t 100 percent working properly after
PartyPoker rolled out an update earlier in the month. This was now addressed and fixed with the latest release. Also for players on partypoker, the issue was fixed relating to failed imports due to bounties won in Tricket SNGs and support was added for Bolt 4 fastforward games. Also, a time zone issue affecting some players was also fixed.
A weird issue on iPoker was that players with parenthesis in their names were causing import problems. This was now fixed with the latest release.
There were also a bunch of issues fixed for players using PokerTracker 4 that also play on Winamax. Tournament detection will now display the correct buy-in and tournaments not being automatically detected will also show the correct buy-in as well. The lottery-style Expresso games are now classified as turbo games and the summaries for these tournaments are now much better supported.
If you aren’t already using PokerTracker 4, you should certainly consider it. This is true regardless of whether you are a recreational or professional or play one table or 20 at a time.
